I’m exhausted, excited, and overcome with emotion, as five months of planning and promoting a convention that almost didn’t happen.
The boardwalk repairs are just being completed on the day of the con. Hurricane Sandy’s damage still present in the plywood covering the glass doors to Convention Hall’s Grand Arcade pavilion. And as if to say all is well — the weather was warm and bright at the beach that day.
Just month’s earlier the same entrance to the Grand Arcade was being dug out from under three feet of sea and sand.
